It is important to know a number of things before we get started on this particular subject of selling stock photography. Selling stock photography is not an instant road to profits and overnight success which some photographers will have you believe. There are two main types of photography for selling, that is assignment photography and Stock Photography. In general, stock photographs command a lower price, but they are more saleable to a wider base.
